Top 5 News and Magazines Apps in Finland on Android in Q4 2024

During the fourth quarter of 2024, the top news and magazine applications on the Android platform in Finland demonstrated diverse performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

IS – Ilta-Sanomat from Sanoma Media Finland showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, climbing from approximately $4.3K at the start of October to $5.7K by the end of December. Meanwhile, weekly downloads experienced a peak in mid-November at around 1.5K, while weekly active users rose from 181K to nearly 197K by the year's end.

Helsingin Sanomat, also published by Sanoma Media Finland, saw a significant rise in weekly revenue, beginning at $4.3K and reaching $6.6K by late December. Downloads were highest in late December with approximately 1.7K, and active users fluctuated, ending the quarter with about 239K.

Iltalehti from Alma Media Finland experienced a notable decline in weekly revenue, starting at $6.4K and dropping to $428 by the end of December. However, downloads peaked in early December at 1.7K, and active users increased from 117K to over 131K during the quarter.

X (Formerly Twitter) reported a varied revenue trend, with a peak of $5.6K in early December. Weekly downloads showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 1.5K, while active users remained relatively stable, closing the year at around 137K.

Finally, Aamulehti had a steady revenue stream, with a slight peak at $1.7K in early December. Downloads remained modest, peaking at 546 in October, and active users showed growth from 13K to 16K by late November, before declining to 12K at the end of the quarter.
